Due to the fact that I live in Lancashire in the northwest of England, my main activations will be in the main confined to Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cumbria and Dumfries & Galloway north of the border. However, with my XYL originating from the city of Chester and still having a large family in the city, a number of excursions to activate northern welsh castles will also be on the cards. I was wondering what members we had in the north of England who may wish to activate in company or involve themselves in a Special Event CASHOTA activation in the future. I know that the Central Lancashire A.R.S hold a special event CASHOTA activation annually at Hoghton Towers, but I'm not a member and have no interest in any A.R.S activity. Would appreciate those interested posting a reply to this thread. 73's Ian 2E0EDX www.cqportable.webs.com

Although to date I have not had any replies on the subject of persons interested in joint activations etc, the CASHOTA Northwest England Group is growing in strength with 9 members so far, those members residing in the Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cheshire areas. This group has been founded to specifically aid participation of CASHOTA in the northwest of England for those radio Amatuers interested in Portable, Mobile, Pedestrian Mobile, Bicycle Mobile on any band/mode applicable from historical locations. If anyone is interested in joining the group and hearing about our exploits in the Northwest, then please e-mail me or leave your details in this thread.
